Abenancio Cordova

Abenancio Cordova, also known as El Fosforo, age 90, a resident of Lama, born in Chamisal, passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alejandro and Remedios Cordova; his wife Victoria Cordova; daughter Elizabeth Medina; siblings Jose Cordova and Fidelia Vigil.

He leaves behind his son Alex (Louise), daughter Jannette (Bob); sons-in-law Roberto Medina and Dennis Cordova; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; his special “cuate” Ron Chavez; special friend Rose Trujillo; nurse for many years Diana Arguello, caretaker Barbara Lee, and many nieces and nephews.  Dad had many friends, he will be greatly missed.  Rest in peace Dad.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday April 22, 2021 at 7pm in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. Funeral mass will be on Friday April 23, 2021 at 1pm at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Penasco with burial to follow Santa Barbara Cemetery
