Abraham Fernandez

Abraham was born in Taos on July 15, 1972. He lived his life in respect of others, always going out of his way to help anyone, he did it with the golden heart he carried. He was always known for offering a helping hand. He was God fearing and believed in the resurrection of the Bibles promise of living forever on the paradise earth soon to come. He loved the many conversations about the Bible and shared his love of Jehovah God.

Abe was a professional locksmith and safe technician. He enjoyed the many conversations he held with acquaintances he met and became friends with many of them. He had many hobbies, one was his love for sports, his favorite teams included the Broncos, Avalanche, Yankees, Cardinals and Lobos. He was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist, including hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing and photography, he also enjoyed painting sunflowers, making hand carved furniture, and the culinary arts.

He loved to travel with destinations in 38 states, Canada and Mexico. His favorite states being Alaska and Hawaii, his most epic trip was sitting on a warm beach in Maui, Hawaii and the very next day skiing in Taos Ski Valley.

Abraham leaves behind his father Adelio G. Fernandez; brothers Ben (Sandy), Chris, Isaac, Jeremiah; his nephews Devin, Darron (and his daughters, Abigail, Adelynn, Amayah), Aaron (Zayde) and their son Matias. Many uncles, aunts, and cousins including many friends.

His wishes were not to have a memorial service but instead to share a meal with friends and family to honor and celebrate life as a happy occasion. This will take place Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm at Bataan Hall located at 121 Civic Plaza Drive in Taos, NM.
