Adelina Gonzales

Adelina Duran Gonzales, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 91 on October 10, 2025. She left us just 7 days after her birthday.

Adelina was born in Ranchos de Taos, NM to Francisco and Maria Mabel Duran. She graduated from Taos High School. She was married to Theodore Gonzales for 50 years, together they had 4 children. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a lifelong Guadalupana and worked with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Adelina is survived by her children Jean Gonzales, Earl Gonzales, Deborah Anglada and Joann B. Gonzales; 7 grandchildren, Lori and Julianne Lucero, Earl and Jennifer Gonzales, Maria, Olivia, and Mia Anglada; 14 great-grandchildren; and many loving family members in Utah, Colorado and New Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mabel Duran; spouse Theodore “Ted” Gonzales; brother who she was raised with, Manuel Cortez; grandchildren Elizardo Jesus Christian Gonzales, Loriann and Lorenzo Maestas, Josiah Lucero; and her partner of 22 years Candido Olmedo Mondragon.

Honored to serve the family as pallbearers are, Jeremiah Gonzales, Earl Gonzales, Jr, Diego Cisneros, Abran Lorenzo Lucero, Frank Martinez and Martell Fernandez. 

Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 9:00am, Mass of Chrisian burial at 10:00am held at San Francisco de Asís Catholic church, burial to follow at Jesus Nazareno Cemetery, located on Espinoza Road, Ranchos de Taos.
