Alfonso "Al" Martinez

Alfonso “Al” Martinez 91 of El Prado, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on April 15, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel & Guadalupe Martinez; siblings Manuel Martinez, Ramona Roybal (†Evy), Gene Martinez, Silviano Martinez; grandson Joaquin Martinez, great grandson Augustine "Tine" Mondragon;  and in-laws Nick & Carmen Gonzales.

Alfonso is survived by his wife Teddye Martinez; children Arlene Mondragon (Gilbert), Leonard Martinez, Randy Martinez (Beth) and Gerald Martinez; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; siblings Arcy Martinez and Rubel Martinez (Irene); plus many other loving relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of Holy Cross Medical Center, the support and compassion of Red Willow Hospice Care; Juan Romero and Margaret Trujillo for assisting the family.

Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 10am, Funeral Mass will follow at 11am, held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church. Burial will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 12:30pm at the Angel Fire Veterans Cemetery.
