Anival Lopez

Anival Lopez former resident of Vadito N.M passed away March 3 2018, surrounded by his loving family. The family has lost their patriarch and will be greatly missed. Anival was a long time resident of Taos County. He lived in Llano as a child and later as a young man married Reyes and moved to Minturn, Colorado where he worked in the railroad and raised his family. At retirement he moved back to his beloved New Mexico. Still Taos County but different village, Vadito. There he planted and grew a beautiful garden. His little ranch was pristine. Anival is preceded in death by his wife Reyes Lopez; parents Juan and Rosita Lopez and his stepmother Petra Lopez; his three brothers, Theodoro, Elizardo, and Demicio; also a daughter Eleanor Lopez and a son Bobby Lopez. Anival is survived by his daughters Rosita Lopez (Dan Kinsey), Sally (Jerry Romero), Alverna (Leo Baca), Nancy (Ismeal Lozano) and son Rudy Lopez; fourteen grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Anival is also survived by brothers. Jimmy Lopez, Juan Lopez, Gilbert Lopez, sisters Elsie Cordova, Orlinda, Orilia, Rosella, and Carol. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday September 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church in Penasco with burial to follow in which he will be laid to rest with his wife Reyes Lopez at the Chamisal Cemetery.
