Anthony Rey Martinez

Anthony Rey Martinez, 27, a resident of El Prado, passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Anthony Duran and Eloy Lujan.

Anthony served in law enforcement in Taos since the young age of 18. Starting his career with Taos Pueblo, Taos Police Department and most currently with the Questa Police Department.

He is survived his parents, Carla Duran and Ross Lujan, his father Francisco Martinez, siblings, Reina and Francisco Martinez, his nephew Orion Martinez, and his grandmothers, Barbara Wagner and Lora Lujan, plus many other relatives, his brothers and sisters in blue and cherished friends.

Rosary will be recited on Saturday November 1, 2025 at 9am followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos.
