Betty L Cox

Betty L. Cox, 80 years of age, passed away April 27, 2023 surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Cox; parents Felix and Maria Cardenas; brother Nick Cardenas, sister Martha Cardenas; nephews David Cardenas and Gabriel Cardenas; and grandson Isaiah Ortiz.

Betty was known from her many years of working for her baby brother at Ricky’s Restaurant and her cake decorating years at Super Save.  She spent every day with her grandson’s who meant the world to her.  Her two daughters always kept her busy, they were her world.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children Danny Cardenas of Texas, Christine Cox (Adonais), April Martinez (Anthony); brothers Ricky Cardenas and Ramon Cardenas (Rose); sister-in-law Gloria Cardenas; special grandson’s Michael Cox, Jayden Ortiz, Luke Aragon and Anthony Martinez, Jr.; aunt Irene Torrez and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 6pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco.  Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 10am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with burial to follow at the Arroyo Seco Cemetery.  A meal in Betty's honor will follow at the Parish Hall in Arroyo Seco.
