Betty Martinez 92 years of age, a resident of Taos, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Roy Martinez; sons Paul V. Martinez and Charles “Chuck” Martinez, II; grandsons Matias and Nataniel Mondragon; parents Jesus & Feloniz Martinez; siblings Tillie Romero (Teodoro), Manuelita Chavez (George), Felix Martinez (Dorothy), Teofila Trujillo (Fasho), George Martinez, Benito Martinez (Viola), Dolores Herrera (Eli) and Tomas Martinez; in-laws Zach & Elma Martinez, Betty Alarid (Frank), Gloria Lucero (Abran), Tom Martinez and Bobby Martinez (Anna).

Betty is survived by her daughter Cristina Martinez; grandchildren Vicente Martinez, Sofia Martinez, Brittany Bastinez (Alexa), Charles Martinez, III (Erin), Zach Pablo Martinez and Casey Banner (Jeff); great-grandchildren Patience Feliz Mondragon, Isaiah Martinez (his mom Daniella), Marissa Inez Martinez, Ania Martinez, Catherine Rose Martinez, Charles Martinez, IV, Regina Martinez, Catalina and Ryan Rodriguez; great-great grandkids King Yañez, Saint Yañez and Alaía Yañez; plus many loved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
