Charles A. Macias born in San Francisco, CA on November 2, 1956, passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2024 at the age of 67.
Charles was preceded in death by his grandparents Rubel & Rachel Rodarte; mother Mary R. Macias; sister Debbie A. Rodarte; and brother-in-law Richard Romero.
He was a lifelong resident of Taos and a 1974 graduate of Taos High School. Soon after graduating he joined the United States Navy, where he was stationed in Panama. Charles found joy in working on his car as a hobby, he was also a music enthusiast. In his earlier years, he played the drums and guitar, he loved his music.
He was a good brother, uncle and friend, he treated everyone he met with kindness, compassion and forgiveness. His love and laughter will always be missed and will always be in our hearts.
He is survived by his father Adolfo Macias; son Troy Macias; siblings JoJo Rodarte, Elizabeth Mah, Margie Romero and Arlene K. Rodarte; nephews and nieces, Joe Mike Rodarte, Gabriel Romero (Autumn), Lawrence Padilla (Michelle), Steven Rodarte, Isaac Romero (Melissa), Santiago Mascareñas, Krysta Sheri Williams, Shaylee Mascareñas, Angelina, Kevin, Joseph, Anthony, Manuel & Bernadette Mah.
Funeral mass will be held on Thursday July 11, 2024 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will take place at a later date.
