Christy Marie Medina

Christy Marie Medina 34, a resident of El Prado, passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2025.

She was born April 15, 1991 to Chris Medina of Arroyo Hondo and Katherine Hardin of San Cristobal. Her adopted parents since 1999 are Wayne and Rayne Medina, who she lived with in El Prado, along with her siblings.

Christy attended Chrysalis Alternative School and completed the program with an emphasis in photography. She graduated with honors in 2009.

She is survived by her parents Wayne and Rayne; siblings Pablo Medina (Christine), Cassandra Maestas (†Gerald), Jayne Medina and Elayne Medina; nephews Jayden Medina, Max Maestas and nieces Illona, Mercedez and Tiffany Maestas, Abrianna, Matalyah and Selena Medina; many uncles, aunties, cousins and friends. Christy touched many lives, she will be greatly missed.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church, officiated by Deacon Jerry Quintana. A luncheon in her honor will follow at 43 Straight Arrow Road, in El Prado.  Burial to follow.
