Consuelo Duran

Consuelo Duran, 87, a resident of Taos, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 7, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Duran; parents, Jesus and Maria Montoya; siblings, Adelaida Montoya, Edwardo Montoya, Della MaCabe, Betty Briley, Epiminia (Pepper) Martinez, and Margaret Rollins. Consuelo was a caring and loving woman who loved all of her loving family dearly.  Consuelo is survived by her children, James Duran Jr., Sharon Halmstad, Cindy Kyllo, Eric Duran (Laverne), Victor V. Duran (Carol), Debbie Grant (Tomas), and Evelyn Anaya; grandchildren who she raised as her own, Thomas Tafoya (Jennifer) and Melinda Tafoya; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, 2 great- great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Joe Montoya (Martha), Jesusita Prando (Tony), sister in law, Connie Montoya, plus many other loving relatives and friends. Private services will be held, and burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
