Debbie C. Martinez

Debbie C. Martinez age 66, a resident of Taos, NM, passed away September29, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her father Orlando Cortez; sister Barbara Gatlin; baby brother Michael Cortez; grandparents Abedon and Damiana Maestas, Amarante and Jessie Cortez; nephew Estevan Cortez; godson Christobal Ruiz; in-laws Helen and Alfonso Martinez; Jimmy Martinez and Lauren Martinez.

Debbie was employed by St. Francis Catholic School as an Educational Assistant. She also worked at Mountain Home Heath as a Caregiver, and more recently at Ensueños for approximately 17 years as Direct Support Personnel.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer Martinez; children Christopher Martinez (Angel), Matthew Martinez and LeAndra Martinez; grandchildren Cas and Cayden mother Rebecca Cortez; siblings James Cortez (Rose), Michael Cortez (Melissa), LoriAnn Cortez (Rob), Frances Romero (Joseph) and Jennifer Cortez (Juan); in-laws Vicente, Shirley, Lawrence, Anthony, Lourie and Brenda (Ira); godchildren Daniel Martinez, Sarah Martinez, Amanda Romero, Lucas Sanchez and Bethany Alaniz; many nieces and nephews.
