Dolores Estela Miera – Sandoval, 90 of El Prado, New Mexico peacefully passed on July 24, 2022. Lolita spent a great deal of her life in Ogden, Utah where she engaged in her passion as a licensed Cosmetologist styling the latest hair trends. She returned to Taos in 1976 to be closer to her roots. In 1994 she served a mission in Puerto Rico for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Dolores “Lolita”, daughter of Manuel and Celia Miera of Placitas, was preceded in death by her siblings, brothers: Luis Miera, Elias Miera, Alfredo Miera, Antonio Miera, and Jacobo Miera and sisters: Amelia Salazar, Simonita Trujillo, and Juanita Nordin. She is also preceded in death by her son, Fernando R. Miera, her grandsons Jeremy Trujillo and Robert Miera. She is survived by her son: Samuel Miera Gutierrez (Josie), and daughters: Lydia Miera Gutierrez, Nancy Fontenot (Joel), Sandra R. Sandoval, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday July 30, 2022 at 10am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Taos.
