Donald Bruce Gravelle

Donald Bruce Gravelle 83 of Taos, NM passed away May 29, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Henry Gravelle and Phyllis Gravelle; son Garrett A.H. Gravelle; sister Sharon Gravelle; and nephews Jacob, Michael, Peter and Greg Gravelle.

Don (aka “Big Don Gravelle) was born in Fitchburg, MA. in 1943. His family lineage traces back to Quebec and Onterio, Canada, where his family history includes industrial workers and prominent “Ice Hockey” figures. Don loved nature, dogs, beaches and was the creator of “The Harmonious Leisure Living Principle”. He was very adventurous.

Don is survived by his son Todd G. Gravelle; grandsons Donevan Garret Gravelle, Ysidro Oraihi Gravelle and Joseph M. Jagers; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Peter Gravelle (Mary), Dave Gravelle, John Gravelle (Shiela), Alfred Gravelle (Lisa), Dennis Gravelle (Linda), Stephen “Beaver” Gravelle, and sister Janice Gravelle; 16 nephews and nieces; his great-grand-dogger Lola and Honey.

Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 10:00am at Las Cruces Cemetery.
