Dora Vigil

Dora Vigil, 96, a resident of Cañon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 24, 2025

She is preceded in death by parents Ramon and Elisaida Anglada; husband Patricio Vigil, great grandson Ryan Patricio Chapleau, granddaughter Carmela Raquel Quintana and son-in-law Ruben Reynaldo Quintana. Siblings Ursula Lujan, Juanita Romero, Mary (Rubel) Gonzales, Manuel Anglada, Tito (Lucy) Anglada, George (Celia) Anglada, Fred Anglada, Samuel Anglada, Eva (Fidel) Garcia, Vito Anglada, and Ramon Anglada; brother-in-law Manuel Gonzales.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Quintana, granddaughters Miranda Quintana, Linda (Miguel) Martinez, great-grandchildren Miguel, Evan and Katie Martinez, siblings Theresa Gonzales and Louie (Margie) Anglada, sisters-in-law Dolores, Carol, Ella, Gloria and Angie Anglada, special nieces Martha Romero, Rita Guillen, Patty Garcia and many other nephews, nieces, and other relatives who loved her very much.

Dora was the matriarch of her family and the heart of the Anglada family. Though she had one daughter, many considered her their second mom. She loved unconditionally, without judgement and without expectation. The joy and pride of her life were her family, especially her great-grandchildren who knew from her the greatest love that a person can know.

Dora was a woman of wisdom, kindness, generosity and patience who made the world a better and more loving place. Her absence will be felt deeply, and she will be eternally missed. Serving the family as honorary pallbearers will be Albert Anglada, Ricky Anglada, Evan Martinez, Miguel Martinez, Miguel Cristoval Martinez, Carlos Romero, and Ray Romero.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 11:00am at Taos Foursquare Church located on Camino de La Merced, burial will follow at Grace Brethren Church Cemetery, in Cañon.
