Edwina Romero

Edwina Romero 64, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, passed away peacefully January 18, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Alfredo V. & Celina B. Romero; maternal grandparents Antonio V. & Felicitas Vargas; uncles Mike Romero and Manuel Romo; aunts Frances Casanova, Eva Gonzales, Julia Romo; and cousin Luke Martinez.

Edwina is survived by her children Felicia Romero; Angela Gallegos (Amanda), Michael Gallegos, James Gallegos and Isaac Gallegos, special grandchildren that she helped raise, Marissa Tafoya, Brittany Tafoya, Andrea Tafoya, Nicole Tafoya, and special special great grandchild, Alaia Padilla; parents Merlan & Dolores Romero; siblings Anthony Romero (Lorraine) and Robert Romero (Lori Ann); aunts and uncles, Mary Martinez, Mina Fernandez, Edith Medina, Naomi Yanez (Ricardo), Casilda Estrada (Nery), Steve Romero (Nancy), her tiny fur babies, Lilly and Tabby, plus many other loving relatives and friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 11:00am in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos.
