Elena Gonzales

At the age of 97, Elena passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 16th, 2024.

She was preceded death by her husband Elfido C. Gonzales; her parents Meliton & Crucita Medina; brothers Reynaldo Medina and Daniel Medina, sisters Pulita Medina and Dolores Medina; granddaughter Jenna V. Trujillo; and son-in-law Lawrence T. Trujillo. 

Elena is survived by her children Kathy Martinez (Toby), Susan K. Trujillo, Ivan Gonzales, Melinda Gonzales and Christopher Gonzales (Amanda); 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Her passion in life was taking care of her loved ones. She fostered a welcoming environment for her family and others who entered her home. She displayed the love of Christ by serving others through her cooking, babysitting, and helping those in need. Elena attended church and read her Bible faithfully. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. 

Honored to be serving as pallbearers: Jerome Trujillo, Mikayla Trujillo-Leon, Anthony Martinez, Bryan Brown, Mark Gonzales and Michael Gonzales. 

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 11am at Taos Foursquare Church, with burial to follow at the Assembly of God Cemetery.
