Elizaria Loya

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Elizaria Olivia Loya Chavez “Pebbles” on February 11, 2024, after having heart surgery on February 2, 2024.   She is preceded in death by her baby brother Gabriel Voigt, her father Fred Voigt, 1^st husband Ernest Loya, grandparents, Leroy Montoya, Claudio, and Frances Montoya, Julian and Elizaria Coca, and Ernesto and Laura Montoya,  uncles and aunts, Paul Sanchez, Robert Martinez, Julian Coca, Hilario Voigt, Guillermo Voigt, Rosalita Duran (Erminio), Joseph Montoya (Annabell), Eddie Lucero, Abran Lucero, Anita Montoya, Ruben Montoya and cousin, Timothy Mares. Elizaria was a shining star with a heart of gold. She loved God, nature, the great outdoors, music, traveling, concerts, giving a helping hand whenever anyone needed help. She loved being around family and friends. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Lenny Chavez, pride and joy her daughter, Haylee Chavez, godson Isaiah Rodarte, parents, Theresa and Donald Sanchez, grandmothers, Natalie “Nat” Montoya, Juanita Sanchez, in-laws, Georgina Chavez (Floyd Gonzales), and Leonard Chavez Sr., brother in-law, Angelo Chavez (Susie Anderson) who was her best friend since childhood, aunts, Francine Martinez, Pauline Ambros, Darlene Miera (Toby), Irene Aguilar, Bernice Romero (Niko), Della Coca (Joey), Raymond Montoya (Linda), Ruben Montoya (Roseanne), her cousins who she considered her sisters, Desiree Templeton (Chris), Cassandra Martinez (David), Layla Martinez, Star Pacheco (Hector), Gus Lucero, and Art Lucero (Nadine) nieces, Tiffany and Mia, Lexi Duran, Athena Sanchez, Adeline Sanchez, Jojo Ortiz, nephews, Juan Pablo, Hector Jr, Eric, and Ricky Pacheco (Denise), plus many other loving relatives, and friends. 

Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11am at Pentecostal Church of God, located at 415 Hatchery Road, Taos, NM.
