Fidel Garcia

Fidel S Garcia aka (Copperman) age 87 of Cañon, passed away on June 7th, 2025.

Fidel was born June 10, 1937, to Fidel and Teresita Garcia in Ranchos de Taos, NM. He raised children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren alongside his wife Eva with great pride and love.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years Eva (Anglada) Garcia; and by his parents Fidel and Teresita Garcia; in-laws Jose (Ramon) and Elisaida Anglada; siblings, Virginia (Tony) Perez, Lucia (Tomas) Fresquez, and Adelina (Frank) Padilla; in-laws, Ursula Lujan, Juanita Romero, Escolastica Mary Gonzales (Rubel), Evelyn Anglada, Patricio Vigil, Lydia Anglada, George Anglada (Celia), Manuel Gonzales, Tito Anglada (Lucy), Manuel (Mel) Anglada, Samuel Anglada, Ramon (Mon) Anglada, Fred (Lico) Anglada, and Vito Anglada.

Fidel is survived by his children Martha Romero (Carlos), Rita (Garcia) Guillen and Patty Garcia (Everett); his grandchildren Matthew Romero (Adriana), Valerie Braswell (Michael), Mario Jeantette, Marcos Jeantette (Tiffiny), Joseph Garcia (Sheila); great-grandchildren Jenica Montoya, Tyler Valencia (Cielo), Zak Braswell, Kianna Jeantette, Delilah Gallegos, Evangaline Jeantette, Mario Jeantette, Enzo-Jett Jeantette, and Zayd Garcia; siblings, Maria Cortez, Eloida Romero (Julian) and Alice Baca (Max); in-laws, Dora Vigil, Teresa Gonzales, Louie Anglada (Margie), Dolores (Lolly) Anglada, Ella Anglada, Carol Anglada, Angie Anglada and Gloria Anglada; a Special niece that he considered his daughter Patricia Quintana; God-son Vincent Archuleta; his adopted daughter Ronna (Bobo) Gurule; adopted grandchildren, Logan (Audrey), Tyler (Monique); great-grandchildren, Layla, Logan and Rory; plus many other nephews, nieces, and other relatives who loved him very much.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 10:00AM in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos, internment will follow at the Cañon Grace Brethren Cemetery and luncheon at the Talpa Community Center.
