Jessica Maestas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jessica Maestas, who departed from this world on July 25, 2024. Born on April 11, 1972, Jessica was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Jessica Maestas was a beacon of love and devotion in the lives of her two children, Ashley and Jerome Anthony. 

Her unwavering dedication to her children shone brightly, and her infectious smile and bubbly personality touched the hearts of all who knew her. Jessica's spontaneity and outgoing nature made her a cherished presence in the lives of those around her. In her passing, Jessica is reunited with her mother, Betty Herrera, father, Cipriano Herrera, Aunt Loretta Bailon, Cousin Valerie Bailon, and Aunt Viola Rivera. 

She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and love that will be forever cherished by her daughter Ashley, son Jerome Anthony Maestas, son-in-law Kyle, sister Susan Mares, brother-in-law Manuel Mares, brother Kenny Herrera, Aunt Rosie Herrera, nieces Angela and Chelsea, nephews Manuel Jr, Randy, and Santiago, numerous cousins, and many more relatives and friends. 

Though Jessica may no longer be with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the love and joy she brought into the lives of her family and friends. 

Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 6pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos, with burial to follow at the Jesus Nazareno Cemetery in Talpa. Reception to follow at Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church parish hall.
