James R. Cisneros, 72, a resident of Taos, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023, at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Marlo Herrera; and grandparents Edwardo and Carlota Cisneros from El Prado; siblings; Katie Martinez and Edwardo Cisneros.
James was a hard working man who worked for many years as a plumber & sheet metal fabricator, at Bond Plumbing. While still working for Bond Plumbing he began his own thriving business in 1979, known as Cisneros Sheetmetal Works. He enjoyed working his trade and loved all the customers and friends he encountered along the way. James loved working and continued until his illness. When you could get him out of the “shop”, James loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting and camping with his boys. He loved making jokes and had a beautiful soul. We will miss him deeply.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Cisneros; sons, Jimmy Cisneros (Rhaelynn), Randy Cisneros (Berenice), and Brian Cisneros (Nayamin); stepchildren, Paula Mascarenas (Tom), Lori Romero (Ray), and Miguel F. Martinez; mother of his sons Marcela Cisneros; grandchildren, Ezra, Derrik, Hannah, Eli, Nathan, and Hadassah Cisneros; step grandchildren, Tomas Mascarenas, Ronald Archuleta, Carlo Ray Martinez, and Dyamond Martinez; special nieces and nephews who he considered grandchildren, Camille Rael, Josiah Cardenas, Catalina Cardenas, and Luciano Rael; sisters, Marilyn Santistevan (Henry) and Lorraine Greene (Bob); plus many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
