Joe P. Vigil

Joe P. Vigil age 77, a resident of Cerro passed away peacefully June 29, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his son Macario Vigil; and parents Silvano and Fedelina Vigil.

Joe served in the United States Army, his passion was where he lived, Cerro, NM.  He loved to help people in any way that he could, especially when they were in need.  Joe was a fun, outgoing man, who never had any enemies.

He is survived by his daughter Claudia Castilleja (Lalo); grandchildren Elliot Herrera, Ethan Herrera, Julian Castilleja, Damian Castilleja, Kiana Rose Vigil and Alvida Vigil; siblings Gilbert Vigil, Mary Archuleta, Rose Ortega (Armando), Charlene Chavarria, Roxanne Ortega, Bertha Ortega, Silvia Sandoval and many other loving relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday July 6, 2021 at 5pm at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Catholic church in Cerro, followed by the Rosary at 6pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday July 7, 2021 at 9am at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Catholic church in Cerro, burial will follow at the Cerro Cemetery.
