Jose Abran Trujillo

Jose Abran Trujillo 82 of Taos, was called home on April 23, 2026. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

He is preceded in death by his son Geno Trujillo and daughter Lucia Trujillo; parents Amadeo & Josie Trujillo; brother Robert Trujillo; granddaughters Victoria Padilla and Christy Marie Medina; and nephew Larry Martinez.

Jose is survived by his daughter Rayne Medina (Wayne); daughter-in-law Celeste Trujillo; siblings Larry Trujillo (Bette), Gloria Trujillo (Larry), Lillian Trujillo; grandchildren Miguel Padilla, Amadeo (Marissa), Angel (Austin), Abran, Autumn (Michael), Jayne, Elayne and Pablo; great-grandchildren Celeste, Maddie and Selena; nephew John Jay Roybal and nieces Erica Roybal (Travis) and Lucia Rovichi.

Jose worked for Molly Corp. Mine in Questa for a number of years, but mostly was self employed as an independent contractor. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his dad and uncle, which is where he spent his young adult life. He enjoyed working with his son and grandsons on several construction projects. Jose loved and lived for his family, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were all spoiled by their grandpa. His animals ( dog and cat ) were also his loyal companions, which were the true love of his life.

Rosary will be recited Tuesday, May 28, 2026, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church, burial to follow at the Las Cruces Cemetery. Celebration of Life will take place after the burial at 43 Straight Arrow Road.
