Jose Francisco “Frank” Suazo, 84, of Ranchos de Taos, passed away on September 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and those who cherished him. His death followed progressive health complications from a work-related injury he sustained in 1969.

Frank was born in Taos, New Mexico, in 1941 to Efren and Eliria Suazo of Ranchos de Taos.

He was preceded in death by his newborn son, Floyd Suazo; his parents, Efren and Eliria Suazo; his siblings, Mabel Rendon, Erlinda Schwartz, and Ben Suazo; his honorary sister Dorotea “Dorothy” Romero; his niece, Teresa Rivera; his grandson, Aaron Vigil; and his son-in-law, Jonathan Henley.

He was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Margarito and Elizaida Martinez, Elmer Martinez, Elva Montano, Dora Suazo, Juan Rivara, and Roger Archuleta.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Dulcinea “Candy” Suazo. He is also survived by his children, Ron Suazo (Sharon) of Ranchos de Taos, Francine Suazo-Henley of Los Alamos, and James Suazo (Inez) of Ranchos de Taos.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley Suazo (Tony), Andrew Suazo (Maija), Alisha Vigil, James Suazo (Jolynn), Brandon Suazo, and Izabella Suazo; his great-grandchildren, Jeremy Martinez, Jeremyah Suazo, Uriyah Suazo, and Lilliannah Vigil; his honorary grandchildren, Lylah, Josiah, Aubrey, and Zachariah; and Javier and Karizma, beloved members of his family.

Frank is also survived by his siblings, Anita Rivera, Efren Suazo Jr. (Josefina), Eli Suazo (Connie), and Elmira Archuleta; his cherished nephew, James Medina; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Frank will be remembered for his deep love for his family and the lasting impact he had on everyone who knew him.

A Celebration of Life service for Frank Suazo will be held at a later date.
