Joseph Donald Vigil

Joseph Donald Vigil 85 of Taos, NM passed away September 29, 2022.  Donald was born October 31, 1936 in Hudson, Colorado.  Donald grew up in Arroyo Hondo, NM and later moved to Taos where he raised his family.

He was preceded in death by his son Darryl Vigil; parents Simes & Genoveva Vigil; Brothers Serafin, Pablo & Gaspar; Sisters Ada, Terry & Connie. In-laws Alberto & Celestina Leyba; Fred & Cory Romero. Brother-in-law Billy Romero.

Donald is survived by his wife of 62 yrs Faby Vigil.  Children Dana, Donald Jr. (Francella), Joniva (John) and Denise (Mike); Grandchildren Nicole, Joseph Donald III (Santana), Ryan (Jasmine), Bryan (Adrianna), John Jr. (Tamara), Jacob, Mike Jr. (Ashlynn), Karson, and Francisco; 8 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren on the way.

Donald had a great love for music & sports. He was an avid Denver Broncos Fan. He had a love for people and shared many conversations with family & friends. He enjoyed spending time at the casino.  He had a personality like no other and he loved to joke around.

He had a deep love for his family, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  You will never be forgotten. We love you and miss you, you are forever in our hearts.

Rosary will be recited on Tuesday October 18, 2022 at 9:00am followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos, NM.  Burial will follow at 1:30pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in
Santa Fe, NM.
