Juan Manuel “Manny” was born to Pablo “Chema” and Susan Gonzales Trujillo on January 17, 1941. He met the love of his life Lorraine Trujillo in 1956 in front of the Walgreens on Taos Plaza. From that moment on, he never left Lorraine’s side, they married on March 5, 1958, and were blessed with 67 years of marriage. They raised their family of four children Louis, Timothy, Deborah and Lorrie Denise in Taos, where Manny was a Police Officer with the Town of Taos. He retired from the police force in June of 2000 after 22 years of service.

Manny enjoyed his retired life, raising his grandchildren Clayton, Lestyn, Sabryn and Trey, while delighted in tinkering in his workshop. He custom made cabinets, took up painting celestial images, clearing the land and roads on his property and savoring coffee time with Lorraine on their back porch.

He was a jokester and had a sharp wit, his smart-alecky remarks still spark conversation among the family and friends. Manny will be deeply missed.
