Leroy Rodriguez

Leroy Rodriguez Jr., affectionately known as JuJu, age 40 and a resident of both Peñasco and Taos unexpectedly passed away on June 9th, 2025.

JuJu was born on May 3rd, 1985, to Leroy Rodriguez Sr. and Rosemary Lopez in Espanola, New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Rodriguez Sr, his paternal grandfather Rodolfo Rodriguez, maternal grandfather Louis Lopez, brother Matthew Lopez, uncle Mark Lopez, aunt Monica Roybal, cousins Rosella Rodriguez and Danelle Garcia.

He is survived by his mother Rosemary Lopez, significant other Sharon White, brothers Rocky Lopez (Alicia), Andrew Rodriguez (Monique), sister-in-law Janel Ortiz, paternal grandmother Gladys Rodriguez and maternal grandmother Patsy Lopez. His beloved nieces Maricella (Danny), Adora, Talia, and his much anticipated, soon to be born niece Laia. His treasured nephews include Rocky Jr, Diego, Andrew Jr Dominic and Matthew. JuJu also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends along with his cherished fur babies JuJu Jr and Apollo.

Juju was a caring son, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He adored his role as an uncle and cherished them all as his own. He was a talented craftsman who always worked hard, was reliable as well as dedicated to his obligations.

JuJu's memory is a keepsake from which we'll never part, God has him in his keeping, and we have him in our hearts.
