Lois Reynolds

Lois Ann Reynolds passed away peacefully to her heavenly home from Albuquerque, NM on May 6th, 2026. She celebrated her 91st Birthday earlier this year with her two living sons. She was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on the first of February in 1935 to George and Olive Wagle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles H, and her son Steven W. Reynolds. She is survived by her sons Charles Alan (Susie) of California and Brian S. of Missouri, and two grandchildren Matthew T. in Missouri, Brittney D. in California, and two great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters Molly Bealer of Helena, Montana, Barbara Fix of Beaufort North Carolina, Peggy Sue Seth of Texas, and her brother George Wagle, Skip (Barbara) of Butler, PA

Lois graduated from high school in Butler area then went on to earn her BS in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She worked three summers under the Board of Missions of the Presbyterian Church teaching in Bible schools in Ohio, as a house mother at Ming Quong Home in Los Gatos, CA and at Haines House in Alaska. She earned her Masters from Adams State University in Colorado taking courses in the summer months while working as an elementary teacher in Taos.

Lois taught in Arroyo Hondo, Arroyo Seco, San Cristobal and Taos Elementary schools. Her love for music led her to sing in Taos Community Chorus and in Church choirs whenever she could. She was involved with Oasis group for education and recreation and was a member at New Life Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, NM.
