Maria Consuelo Romero

Maria Consuelo Romero, 45, a resident of Cañon/Taos/Albuquerque, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and partner on June 11, 2026.

She was born on June 13, 1980 to Nick and Wanda Romero of Cañon. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Eduardo and Theresa Romero. Her maternal grandmother Precides Gallegos, and baby niece Jasmine Enrica Romero, plus numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

She is survived by her parents Nick and Wanda Romero, her partner Michael Tyszko. Her sisters Elena and Alicia Romero. Brothers Nicolas Romero and Mateo Montoya. Nephews Michael Fernandez (Azalea), Juan Fernandez and Mateo Montoya Jr. (Alicia). Niece Alexandria Montoya. Great nephews J.J., Dayton, and Mateo III. Great nieces Alyia and Selena. Special friends Ms. Yvette and Renee Valerio, plus numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, burial will follow at the Dolores Cemetery in Cañon.
