Martin Joseph "Marty" Gonzales

Martin Joseph Gonzales (Marty), 53, of Taos passed away from complications due to Multiple Myeloma cancer on September 15, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his father Alfonso E. Gonzales (Choncho) and brother-in-law Uvaldo V. Lopez, Jr. 

He was always a friendly and happy person with everyone.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his best friends and spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. He had a special sister and niece who helped in getting him to his treatments. For that he was very grateful. His work history includes Colomex Oil and Gas Co. Conoco, Taos County, and his last employment before being diagnosed was the 8^th Judicial District Court. He also worked on well pumps in his spare time, a trade he learned helping his father.

He is survived by his wife of 32yrs. Veronica M. Lopez-Gonzales; daughter, Camilia Raye Gonzales; grandchildren, Alfonso Valentin and Alycia Veronica Gonzales-Vigil; mother, Lora Marta Gonzales and stepfather Jose Montoya; sister, Barbara Garcia (Ray), brothers, David Gonzales (Gabrielle) and Thomas Gonzales (Christine); nieces and nephews, Michelle, Sarah and Lora (George), Michael, Mark (Amy), and Diego; great-nieces and nephews,  Marisol, Isaiah, Javier, Gage, Luciano, Hannah, and Zoe; parents-in-law Uvaldo V. Sr. and Elsie Lopez,  sister-in-law, Karrie Gallegos; best friend, Ruben and Andrea Sanchez and kids who always made time for him no matter what condition he was in. He had many family and friends he loved very much. He will be missed by all.
