Matthew Ray Ortiz

In love and memory of Matthew Ray Ortiz, who passed away at the age of 44 on February 16th in his El Prado home, surrounded with love.

Matthew was born on May 4, 1981, in Taos, NM. Although his life may have been brief, he left a huge impact in life.

In Matthews short time with us, he proved to us all that he was a knowledgeable and dependable son, father, friend and relative.

Spending most of his career in construction, he truly took pride in the homes he helped build. Of all the connections and friendships he made in life, we will cherish the memories he has left.

Matthew was preceded in death by his aunt Mary Ortiz and his uncles Felix Ortiz and Leandro Ortiz; as well as his cousins Hector Ortiz, Harold Ortiz and Terresa Ortiz Concha.

He is survived by his mother Dolores Ortiz; his two sons Isaiah Ortiz and Zachariah Ortiz; brother Phillip Ortiz (Melanie) and their children Gabriel Ortiz, Nicholas Ortiz, Crystal Ortiz and Jewel Medina (Adam); special cousin Tony Concha; his beloved dog Shadow; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

To many of us Matthew was someone different, but hopefully to all of us, he was someone worth never forgetting. “We love you Matthew”.
