Michael "Choles" Trujillo

Michael I. Trujillo, 61, of Arroyo Hondo, NM, was the son of the late Ruben and Ida Trujillo.

He was affectionately known to family and friends as “Choles”. A lifelong musician, he found joy in playing the guitar, singing and writing songs of his own. His music was a reflection of his spirit and a gift he leaves behind.

Michael is preceded in death by his brother Archie L. Trujillo. He is survived by his sons, Michael A. Trujillo (Sierra Trujillo) and Gabriel Trujillo; one grandson Maverick Trujillo; siblings, Raymond Trujillo, Alfred Trujillo, Ruby Martinez, Olivia Ortiz, Ruben “Boone” Trujillo (Dorotea Trujillo) and Matthew Trujillo; and sister-in law MaryJane Trujillo, wife of his late brother.

He also will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends, all of whom will cherish the memories and love they shared with him.

A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00a.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Arroyo Hondo, NM on Saturday, October 10th 2026, interment will follow at the Upper Arroyo Hondo Cemetery.
