Nora Lisa Martinez, 48, a resident of Taos passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 2, 2024. Nora is preceded in death by her father Thomas (Dirty Sal-E) Martinez, grandmother Cecilia Tafoya, aunt Katherine Annette Gonzales, great-grandparents David and Cira Martinez, and numerous aunts and uncles. Nora is survived by her son, Lorenzo P. Martinez, granddaughter Isabella A. Martinez, daughter in law Rhiannon Doughman, mother Susan Tafoya-Martinez, special aunts Michelle Tafoya Varos, Wilma Romero, cousins Rhonda Tafoya, Ashlynn Sanchez, Alex Varos, Ivan Romero, Moses Romero, and other loving relatives and friends. . She was known for her strength in the mountains when going to get wood, the love and care she gave to so many, and the beautiful memories she created with everyone. Everywhere Nora went she created a smile on everyone's face. Rosary will be recited on Friday July 19, 2024 at 6pm at San Francisco De Assisi Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be on Saturday July 20, 2024 at 10am at San Francisco De Assisi Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Dolores Cemetery in El Prado.
