Olivia Weishaar passed away at her home in El Prado, New Mexico on December 20, 2023.

Olivia was born November 28th,1951 in Fruita, Colorado to Narcizo and Jessie Chacon Martinez. She grew up in Fruita and Glenwood Springs, Colorado. She attended elementary school in Fruita and Glenwood Springs until 1966. Her family moved to Moab, Utah in 1966 so her stepfather could go to work at the potash mine. Olivia attended Grand County Junior High and graduated from Grand County High School in May of 1970. Shortly after graduation, Olivia moved to Grand Junction, Colorado. She worked at various jobs in Grand Junction until September of 1974 when she moved back to Moab, Utah to be closer to family. Over the next few years, Olivia worked at various jobs in Moab. In 1977, Olivia met and fell in love with a local mine mechanic, Butch Weishaar. Olivia and Butch were married in Yuma, Arizona in 1979. After the wedding, Butch and Olivia moved to LaSal, Utah where Butch worked at the Union Carbide LaSal Incline mine as a mechanic. Butch and Olivia welcomed their only child, daughter Shari, into their family on June 8th, 1982. When the uranium mine shut down in Lasal, Butch, Olivia and Shari relocated to Casa Grande, Arizona where Butch worked as a mine mechanic for Dodge Phelps copper mine. After some time, Butch, Olivia and Shari moved to Elyria, Ohio where Butch was hired as the mine mechanic foreman at the Cargill salt mine. During their time in Elyria, Butch and Olivia welcomed their first granddaughter, Lexie born to daughter Shari. After 10 plus years, Butch got a job at the mine in Questa, New Mexico. Butch and Olivia later divorced. Olivia lived with her daughter Shari and son-in-law Andres in El Prado, New Mexico until the time of her death.

Olivia is survived by her daughter Shari Vigil; grandchildren Lexie, Dominic, Sophia, and Vicente; sisters Elisia Shepardson, Ruby Robinson, Judy Copeland, Lousia Martinez; brothers William Manzanares, Julio Lopez, and Pefe Duran Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Olivia was preceded in death by ex-husband Butch Weishaar; father, Narcizo Martinez and mother, Jessie Duran; sister Viola Manzaneres; niece Devon Shepardson; son-in-law Andres Vigil; stepfather Pefe Duran and all her uncles and aunts.
