Pauline Tafoya

Pauline Tafoya 77, a resident of Llano, NM, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents Faustin & Casilda Cordova; brother Ralph Cordova and Ricky Trujillo; in-laws Onecimo Tafoya and Pelegrina Martinez; and maternal grandparents Ralph & Pablita Trujillo.

Pauline was a devoted Christian, she loved to attend church and enjoyed singing. She was a loving mother and not only loved her family, but also her pet dogs Princess, Tiny and Cammie.  She will truly be missed.

She is survived by her husband Anselmo Chemo Tafoya; children Nelson Tafoya (Lisa), Andrew Tafoya and Johnny Tafoya (Carmen); her grandchildren Vanessa Tafoya, Nick Tafoya, Jeremy Tafoya and Kiana Tafoya; great-granddaughter Dakota Johnson; her siblings Grace Romero (Frank), Ida Wright (Alfred), Vicki Cordova, Diana Quintana (Joe), Marie Svenningsen; Gene Cordova (Annette), Helen Cordova, and Cindy Ramos (Manuel); brother-in-law Reynaldo Tafoya; special nephew John Paul Cordova; plus many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family would like to say thank you to her sister Vicki Cordova for all her kindness and care she provided to Pauline. 

Memorial service will be held on Thursday January 22, 2026 at 11am in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos, burial will follow at the Morada de Llano San Juan. A meal will take place at 3pm at the St. Joseph's Parish Hall (behind Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos).
