Reyes Lopez

Reyes Baca Lopez, our beautiful, caring mother passed away peacefully on August 13, 2019 in St. George, Utah at the age of 90. Reyes was born in Vadito, New Mexico to Atilano and Apolonia Baca and the second of four sisters, Flora, Sara and Elisia.

Reyes was preceded in death by her husband Anival Lopez (passed away March 3, 2018), daughter Eleanor Lopez, son Bobby Lopez, brother Ben Santistevan, and two sisters Flora Martinez and Elisia Vigil.

Reyes is survived by one sister Sarafina Martinez-her children, Rosita Lopez (Dan Kinsey), Sally (Jerry Romero), Alverna  ( Leo Baca), Nancy (Ismael Lozano) and son Rudy Lopez.  Fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren. Also, Fabian a special person whom she considered a son.

She was the matriarch of her family, she received great joy from helping others and many benefited from her generosity and kindness. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Mass will be on Thursday September 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church in Penasco with burial to follow in which she will be laid to rest with her husband Anival Lopez at the Chamisal Cemetery.
