Richard Valdez

Richard Valdez age 55, a resident of Taos, passed away unexpectedly October 24, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Juan Francisco Martinez & Angelina Martinez; paternal grandparents Francisco & Adelina Valdez; brother Paul Martinez; niece Sara Michelle Gonzales and nephew Nicolas Martinez.

Richard loved spending time in the outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He was employed as a Journeyman Lineman for Los Alamos County.  Richard lived life to its fullest and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Celeste Anaya Valdez; daughter Angelina Sara Valdez; parents Adelmo & Virginia Valdez; siblings Becky Duran (Tom), Berlinda Gonzales (James), Moises Martinez (Dolores), Stella Gallegos (Johnny), Carla Valdez and Christine Valdez (David); sister-in-law Sylvia Martinez; mother-in-law Pearl Olivas; sisters-in-law Francine Anaya (Mark), Christine Aragon (Matt) and Cathy Anaya; godchildren Marcus Garcia, Daniel Valdez, Samantha Duran, Nicole Valdez and John Jon Gallegos; nieces and nephews Vanessa, Julie, Nicole, Marcus, Gabrielle, Serenity, Andrew, Isabella, plus many more nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
