Shawna Rivera

This past week, our Beautiful Shawna passed away unexpectedly. Our Shawna was born on September 29, 1975 in Taos, New Mexico.

She is survived by her Mother, Sarah Vasquez; Sister, Katrina Winn; nieces and nephews, Analeya Rodarte, Angelo Perea, Andres Rivera, Jordyn Winn and Kamille Winn; special people in Shawna’s life, Janice, Barbara and Rockie De Herrera, Patrick Visarriagas and his daughter Sonya Visarriagas; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many loving friends!

She is preceded in death by her Daddy, David Rivera; sister, Alicia Rivera; stepdad, Ruben Vasquez; brother in-law, Melvin Winn; Grandpo D, and Grandma Alice DeHerrera, Grandpa Cove and Grandma Maria Rivera.

We (Sarah and Katrina) would like to thank Steve and Berlinda Rivera, who have beginning to end spiritually and physically walked this rough walk with us this past week! We would also like to thank our Friends and Family for the many, many calls, thoughts and prayers! ❤️

Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00am at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, located at #672 NM 198, Amalia NM, burial will follow at the Rivera Family Cemetery.  A meal in Shawna's honor will be served after the burial at the Catholic Parish Hall in Costilla, NM.
