Stella Gutierrez

Stella Gutierrez, 92, of La Cordillera passed away on May 29, 2023.  Stella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She led her life with faith, kindness and love in her heart. Stella loved spending time with her family, listening to music especially the Bad Boys and of course Lawrence Welk.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Filemon Gutierrez Jr, her daughter, Diana Olonia, and her son James Gutierrez. She is survived by her loving children David Gutierrez (Barbara) of Cordillera, Ernie Gutierrez (Laura) of Santa Fe, Margaret Gonzales (Elbert) of Las Colonias, Joseph Gutierrez (Lorrie) of La Cordillera, Diana Lopez (Peter) and Victoria Marcis (Chris) who she raised as her own children. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren who were like her own babies, David Gutierrez Jr. (Nathan), Daniel Gutierrez, Adam Gutierrez (PeggyRose), Vanessa Gonzales (Josh), Esperanza Livings (Lairs), Melissa Maxwell (Chris), Faithe Gutierrez (Kevin), Great grandchildren – Angelica & Tony Medina, Haley & Aliana Lopez, Abraham & Javier Marcis, Makayla, Ethan & Amelia Maxwell, Zachary Gutierrez-Paniagua, Joselyn & Anthony Gutierrez, Nehemiah Martinez, Angelica Barela & Mia Barela-Gutierrez. Stella had many brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews in which she loved with all her heart.

Special thank you to Vanessa Gonzales for providing special care for grandma. Also, special thanks to Dr. Ellen Warren, Mardee Harrington, RN, and Mountain Home Healthcare who also provided special care.
