Thomas Paul Ortega

Thomas P. Ortega age 46 of Albuquerque, formerly of Taos, passed away surrounded by his family on November 7, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Elizardo Ortega, Sr. and Beatrice Duran; maternal grandparents Paul and Beatrice Mares; along with many other loving relatives.

Thomas is survived by his children Miranda Cardenas (Gabriel) and Ariana Ortega (Matthew); grandson Avelino Jacob Mirabal; his mother Delia Ortega; his father Tommy Ortega; siblings Carol Ortega, Lyle Ortega and Debbie Blakeman (Brent); godson and nephew Matthew Mondragon; niece Ashtyn, nephews Damian, Devin, Brendan and Jack; great-nieces Neveah and Bella; plus many loving relatives and friends.

Thomas loved the outdoors, he was a music lover, a great auto mechanic, and  previously a wildland fire fighter, he had no fear and was very comedic.  Thomas will be dearly missed.

Rosary will be recited on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 9:00am followed by the Funeral Mass as 10:00am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, burial will follow at the Dolores Cemetery.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers:  Damian Ortega, Devin Ortega, Ashtyn Blakeman, Brendan Blakeman, Jack Blakeman and Matthew Mondragon.
