Valerie Montoya Rael

Valerie Montoya Rael, 56, of Taos, NM born September 14th, 1969. Peacefully passed away on January 1, 2026.

She was loving, courageous, beautiful and always knew how to have the best of times. She was the sweetest bartender, strong at her craft. She was proud of her children and the friendships she made throughout her journey.

Valerie was our "rockstar" and lived everyday to it's fullest. She is survived by her children Desirae Rael (Paula), Stevie Ray Rael (Kayla), sister Monica Martinez, fur baby Bitsy (sister) and many other loving relatives and friends.

She will be remembered for her strength, courage and heart. She will be dearly missed.
