Wendy Skinner

d. June 6, 2024

Wendy Skinner age 64 ended her 5 1/2 year battle with cancer on June 6, 2024 at home while surrounded by loved ones.

She is survived by her husband and soulmate of 36 years Todd, four wonderful daughters, Amy, Tara, Faith, and Wren along with seven grandchildren who know her as Grammy.

Wendy had a long and successful career that in the early years included being the first woman telephone pole climber for Nevada Bell living in Carson City, Nevada. While on a phone pole once, she was asked by a passerby if she was a girl :-)  Wendy was a business professional with EDS, Travelocity, Sabre and eventually as an independent consultant. Widely respected by top executives around the globe. She was considered the gold standard as a strategic planner.

Above all, and what Wendy took most serious was her life as a wife and mother. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, and took the most pride in this. Wendy was everyone’s friend and put all others before herself. She could best be described as loving, caring, compassionate, selfless, kind, and considerate. As respected as she was professionally, She is all that and so much more to the friends and family who were fortunate enough to know, and be on the receiving end of her unconditional love.

Wendy will continue to look over our family from above and help to guide us through life. Her grace and strength were on full display in the 10+ years of serious health battles she faced and always with determination and a smile on her face. She has forever inspired her family by how she carried herself Through the most challenging of times and will occupy space in our hearts and souls for an eternity.

Rest in peace and forever without pain Wendy Sue Skinner, you are so loved!
