Yolanda Montoya

Yolanda Louana Montoya, born March 23, 1968, was called home February 19th, 2026.

She was the beloved daughter of Frank and Molly Montoya, and she was raised in Taos, New Mexico.

Yolanda graduated from Taos High School in 1986 and remained a True Taoseña for life.

Her memory lives on through her greatest pride and joy, her children, Louisa, born in 1987, whose partner in life is Roland, and her son Levi, born in 1990, who is engaged to Angie. But if you knew Yolanda, you knew that her world truly revolved around her grandchildren — Jerome, Andres, Evan, Faith, Emerald, Leroy, Sophia, Levi Jr., baby girl on the way, and her great-grandson Mathew.

Yolanda was also blessed with numerous Godchildren whom she deeply loved.

Yolanda also deeply loved her little teacup Chihuahua, Pedro Benito Montoya, who brought her joy and companionship.

Yolanda lived her life fully and boldly. Helping people wasn’t just what she did, it was who she was.

Yolanda’s life was one of love, loyalty, laughter, and service. She taught us how to show up for one another. She showed us how to love fiercely and live fully. The space she leaves behind cannot be filled — but the love she poured into all of us will continue to carry us forward.

Yolanda Louana Montoya — mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, partner, nurse, friend — your legacy lives on in every life you have touched.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday March 5, 2026 at 9am, Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with burial to follow at the Montoya family property.
