Andres Joaquin Jeantet

d. May 1, 2022

Andres Joaquin Jeantet was called home by our Lord on May 1, 2022.  He went peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his father Stephen A. Jeantet; grandparents Onofre & Maria Inez Baros; grandma Mary Jeantet; uncles Simon Gonzales, Tito Trujillo, Paul Lucero; cousins Bonnie Trujillo, Blanco and Gilbert Gonzales; and beloved Poldo Baca (Nina).

Andres is survived by his mom Roberta Martinez; brother Alejandro Jeantet (Robert); grandpa Eloy Jeantet; girlfriend Kathy Richardson; aunts Lillian Garcia (Cipriano), Jean Trujillo, Frances Archuleta (Felix), Rosalie Gonzales, Victoria Rael (Floyd), Ninos Virginia & Elmer Abeyta, Catherine Aragon (Frank), Rosemary Gallegos (Robert), auntie Mae Lucero, the Martinez and Mondragon families, and many cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

Andres was born in Albuquerque on June 29, 1985.  He attended Elementary school at St. Francis Catholic School and transitioned to Taos Municipal Schools, completing his GED through UNM and attended Luna Tech in Las Vegas, NM.

He grew up in Taos, except for a few years he lived and worked in Phoenix, AZ.  He was known for his work ethic and always worked hard at any job he had.  He loved nature, fixing things, and dirt biking, which earned him numerous trophies.  His family and friends remember him as a kind and compassionate soul with a big heart who always helped those who had less then he.  God showed him the same loving heart and removed him from a lifetime of pain and suffering.

Heartfelt thanks go to the staff of Mountain Home Health Care, for their loving and supportive care, Dr. VanWilligen who closely monitored his medical care, Hondo Seco Fire Department, Taos County EMTs, Father Angelo for administering sacraments and Mass of Resurrection.  Last but not least, to Yolanda Muñoz for guiding his spiritual life and all his aunties and cousins who helped take care of him.

Thank you for all the calls, visits, cards, gifts of food and most importantly your prayers.

Rosary will be recited on Wednesday May 11, 2022 at 9am followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 10am at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco, with burial to follow at the Las Cruces Cemetery.

The family of Andres Joaquin Jeantet has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos.  866-657-4019 www.devargastaos.com
