Donna Dennise Hook

Mrs. Hook, 61, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 in her home in Taos, NM. Donna was born December 30, 1959, in Guymon, OK to Ermel Lester “Paul” and Mildred Jonell Toombs Kittle. On July 8, 1995, Donna married her soulmate, Billy John Hook in Ulysses, KS. Donna and Billy shared a passion for music and spent time working as karaoke DJs. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mildred Kittle, one sister Lanita Jo Kelly, and her beloved husband of nearly 10 years, Billy Hook, who passed away suddenly on April 12, 2005. Survivors include her children: Shawn Hook and companion Bailey Branstetter of Minneola, KS, Scott Short and companion Julie Tabor also of Minneola, Larry “Cody” Short and companion Clarissa Travis of Kingman, KS, Jana White and husband Kenneth also of Kingman, and Brandon Michael Short and companion Savannah Whittaker of Taos, NM, and thirteen grandchildren. Donna also leaves behind two brothers: Paul Kittle and his wife Patty of Foley, MO and Tommy Kittle and his wife, Sylvia of Lawton, OK; as well as several nieces, nephews, foster children, and countless friends.

The body of Donna Dennise Hook will be taken back to Winfield Missouri and visitation will be held at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield beginning at 10:00 a.m. August 7th 2021, Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO. Reverend Mike Ryan, pastor of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church in Lake Ozark, MO, will officiate with burial to follow in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Scharth, Brandon Kittle, Brendan White, Chris Kelly, Gavin Crabtree, and Treyvion Shelton.
