Obituary

Lillian Cordova age 79, a resident of Cañon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 1, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ruben Cordova; parents Patricio and Beatrice Romero; sister Patsy Fresquez; parents-in-law Willie and Josephine Cordova; plus many other loving relatives.

Lillian was an educator for 35 years with the Taos Municipal Schools.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Lillian and her husband Ruben spent their time traveling the world.  She especially loved to dance and was a devoted catholic. She will be greatly missed by all whose hearts she touched. 

She is survived by her children Anthony Cordova (Veronica), Matthew Cordova (Carol), Christina Cordova, and Mike Cordova (Terri); her grandchildren Dominic Cordova, Isaac Cordova (Stephanie), Joshua Cordova, Samantha Cordova (Jason), Tommy Villa (Maria), Robert Ross Romero, Rachel Romero, Ronnie Romero, Josh Sanchez (Selena), Quinn Cordova (Alyssa), Kyle Cordova (Aliyah); great-grandchildren Jason and Mayé Montoya, Mason and Isaiah Cordova and Jazzmin and Jayden Villa; siblings Teresa Romero (Adelaido), Irene DeBaca (John), Rose Fresquez (Casper), Loyda Sanchez, Pat Romero, Jr (Ninfa), George Romero (Fabby); in-laws Cora Sanchez, Elena Mirabal (Randy), Kathy Cordova, Francis Cordova (Ernestina), Fernando Cordova (Bernice); special friends Pete Martinez and Ramona Bonilla; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thank you to the staff of Del Corazon Hospice in Santa Fe.   

Private family services will be held with burial to follow at the Los Dolores Cemetery in Cañon.
