Paula Romero Santistevan

Paula Romero Santistevan, 50, a resident of Aurora CO, passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2020. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jake and Eufelia Romero and maternal grandfather, Abenicio Lucero.  Paula is survived by her husband Gilbert Santistevan; parents, Gasper and Estella Romero; siblings, Julian Romero (Gemarie), Annmarie Muniz (Jason); nieces and nephews, Julian, Moses (Godson), Roberto, and Gabriel Romero, Lance, Tyler, Ryan, and Eva Muniz, Janae (goddaughter), Maliyah, and Mateo Dominguez, Zadrian Rascon and Alivia Dixon; godchildren, Isabella and Joey Gallegos; grandmother, Carmelita Lucero; mother in-law, Vikki Sandoval; sisters in law, Kristi Padilla, Natasha Cantu and Julianna Sandoval; brother in law Francisco Medina; along with many other loving relatives and cherished friends.  A private visitation and rosary will be held in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos on Friday October 23, 2020. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday October 24, 2020 at 11am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Costilla, with burial to follow at the Amalia Cemetery. Due to COVID 19 restrictions there will be limited seating at the church, and everyone must wear a mask.  There will be no public reception due to COVID.
